ABSTRACT: Black box is such an instrument usually installed on aeroplane. Black box function is to record the conversation between pilot and the control operator in the ground tower. This recording is an important, considerable and valuable factor since something worse happen to the plane like emergency landing because of the bad weather and another unwanted accident that may occur. The recording will be an accurate evidence to investigate what has happened to the plane.
This study tries to develop an electronic system which has similar function as black box in aeroplane but will be applicated and installed in ground public transportation. This electronic system differs from black box in aeroplane since the data to be recorded are speed, engine temperature and also brake status whether it is normally operated or expired and need to be changed. The developed system is based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) as the main component and controller.
