ENGINEERING JOURNAL : PENGARUH KONSENTRASI INHIBITOR NATRIUM KROMAT PADA MEDIA H2SO4 TERHADAP LAJU KOROSI BAJA NS 1045

ABSTRACT: Industry growth which fast to progressively result the ugly impact in the form of height mount the pollution. Pollution that happened in the form of ionic compound, which can influence fast of corrosion of steel swiftly. For example very corrosive gas which is there in nature is effect of factory pollution, like CO, H2S, SO2, CO2, and ion like Cl-, Br-, Cr-, F-, I .
Sulphate acid ( H2So4) formed on the air can result the sour rain and very influencing of water quality accomodated in canister become militant or tandon become militant like at cooling tower. Is for that required by effective inhibitor in minimization corrosion that happened at sour environment like Natrium Kromat ( Na2Cro4).
Use of Compound cromat with the certain rate will very effective in pursuing fast of corrosion. this compound cromat a lot of used carbon steel with the treatment elektrokimia, veneering and also alloy. Use become militant the carbon in general a lot of used in the field of manufacturing plant construction, ship, car and train.
This research use the steel of carbon NS 1045, what is soaked by during 15 clock and 24 clock in condensation of H2So4 at room temperature by 6 variable of concentration inhibitor used by that is 0%, 0,2%, 0,4% and 0,6%. Research result indicate that fast of corrosion mount use inhibitor 0,2%. While with the use inhibitor 0,6%, accelerateing downhill corrosion progressively. With the energy inhibisi of equal to 29,22%..
From knowable micro structure perception result type corrosion is pitting corrosion or korosi sumuran by disseminating to flatten [at] steel of carbon NS 1045 with the concentration inhibitor 0,2%, making fast [of] korosi mount by signifikan
