ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of heat treatment on stress corrosion cracking of aluminum alloy 7175. The measurement has been performed at 2 types speciment : aging at 120 0 C for 20 hours material and aging at 160 0 C for 12 housr ones.The corrosion test speciment were prepared in accordance with the ASTM G 49. The stess corrosion cracking test was immersed into 3.5% NaCl environment with 250 kg constant load. The conclusion of this research is that the later have better stress corrosion cracking resistance than former.
