ABSTRACT
Producing paving stone in small industries not aware with the sand gradation mixing composition, so it often the quality of paving stone below standard. The purpose of the research is : to determine the ideal percentage of iron sands in paving stone mixing and the effect of iron sands in the mass of mixing paving stone. The Methodology are: collect the paving stone samples and sands, sands sieved and must be dried first in order to get the real condition, and the samples of the paving stone for each test is 10 (ten) samples. The types of tests are: sands gradation test, absorb a fluid test, and compressive strength test. The result adding the 20% iron sands in mixing paving stone make the gradation zone become better, for absorb a fluid test, shows the value 6%, and compressive strength test could incease until 175 kg/cm2. In adding 20% ironsands in mixing paving stone can be recommended as new mixing for small industries to apply in the field.
