ABSTRACT
Kerosene stove that have been modified to be an automatic rice cooker has a weakness, i.e. the automatic mechanism do not work if the stove is to be used for cooking anything except rice. Source of this weakness is because the automatic mechanism uses a magnet. The project is aimed to design kerosene stove, which completed with a timer, so the stove will be able to flame off according to the set time. An electronic timer is design by utilizing pulse supplied from IC timer 555 and count it with a cascaded IC 4017. Releasing off the burner-support is directed by a solenoid, which is supplied current from collector transistor switch. The designed stove is able to turn off according to the set time. Greasing or oiling of support-beam and geared vertical burner regulator will increase its performance. A thicker plate for supported beam is suggested to replace the one that is made of bended-formed thinner plate.
