ABSTRACT

Tension in plate with circular single hole would give the position of maximum stress in . This phenomena is caused by the symmetrical flow stress around the hole. In the plate with two holes, flow stress around of each hole is not symmetry. It would give different position of maximum stress. The position of maximum stress is not .In this research, the distance of the holes would be varietied. This variety would be give some positions of maximum stress at side of the hole. The graph of maximum stress would be analyzed to get phenomena of maximum stress at side of hole in plate with two circular holes.In the analyzing of this phenomena, finite element method is to be used. Computer analyzing using ANSYS 9.0 software would be used to get simply calculation. The results of computer analyzing show that finite element method could be used to analyzed the position of maximum stress of plate with two circular holes under tension. For the distance of two holes is 1.5d, the position of maximum stress is 85.5 degree.
