ABSTRACT
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing is data transmission method using high bitrate by modulating carries in paralel. This method is efficient to add subchannel in limited bandwidth. These subcarriers are overlapping, rather than spread out in the specified bandwidth. The overlapped modulated carriers spectrum will produce almost orthogonal spectrum with teoritically spectrum efficiency as the efficiency of single carrier system. FFT is implemented as modulator and demodulator for each subchannel. A simulation program is developed to test the system performance with four users input using AWGN channel. System performance is evaluated by comparing the BER to Eb/No. At 1 dB Eb/No the BER is 0.07. For Eb/No greater than 6 dB the BER is close to zero.
