ENGINEERING JOURNAL : EVALUASI PERILAKU STRUKTUR BETON BERTULANG AKIBAT PENGARUH TINGGI BANGUNAN DAN DIMENSI BALOK PADA WILAYAH RESIKO GEMPA TINGGI

ABSTRACT: Performance based design is the new trend for earthquake resistance structure design method with the combination of resistance and service aspects. SNI-03-1726-2002 as earthquake standard divides Indonesia into 6 seismic zones which seismic zone 6 is the highest zone of earthquake risk. This standard bounds the value of structure lateral deflection into two terms i.e. Kinerja Batas Layan (KBL) and Kinerja Batas Ultimit (KBU) to prevent structure collapse. The study objection is to know the effect of structure height and beam dimension variation toward structure performance limit as the result of reinforced concrete structure behavior in highest seismic zone area based on SNI 03-1726-2002 and SNI 03-2847-2002. Reinforce concrete structure with Special Moment Resisting Frame (SRPMK) and open frame structure model is used as analyzing model. There are two models using structure height variation (Hstr) of 8 and 10 floors with the comparation of structure height (Hstr) toward structure width (Bstr) is 2 : 1. The variation of beam and column dimensions are limited as appropriate to section 23 SNI 03-2847-2002. SAP 2000 Nonlinear will be used for model analyzing in 2 Dimension (2D) model. The result shows that structure height and beam dimension increasing the influence of structure deflection value at drift Δs (KBL) and drift Δm (KBU) limit especially on 8 and 10 floors structures. In 8 floors structure, performance limit of KBL and KBU is satisfied at lbal/hbal = 0,6 (30/50 cm beam) with hbal = 1/8 Lbeam . While on 10 floors structure, KBL and KBU is fulfilled with lbal/hbal = 0,5 (30/60 cm beam) using hbal = 1/6,7 Lbeam .This condition is appropriate with minimal beam width = 25 cm and 0,3 comparison (lbal/hbal) in article 23.3 SNI 03-2847-2002.
