ENGINEERING JOURNAL : STUDI ANALISIS TERHADAP BATAS KINERJA STRUKTUR DENGAN VARIASI BENTUK STRUKTUR DAN BENTUK KOLOM AKIBAT BEBAN GEMPA

ABSTRACT: In a building construction, form of architectural and availability of land area can influence the form of the building structures. The land area of building can influence the slenderness of building because of land area limitation, while form of architectural can also influence form of column dimension which will be applied. Based on these, a comparison analysis toward various form of building structures and form of column in determining performance level and its position in structure performance level will be conducted. The purpose of this study is to know the performance level and its position in the performance level of a reinforced concrete building structures which located in earthquake zone (WG) 6 by knowing the ductility level that gained and the value of base reaction at an open frame system as the result of structure and column form variation effect. The method that applied is by modeling the reinforced concrete structure as Special Moment Resisting Frame (SRPMK). The Model are made in 9 models with 3 structure variations (Hstr/Bstr = 1,0 ; 1,5 ; 2,0) and 3 column variations (hkol/bkol = 1,0 ; 1,5 ; 2,0). Number of storey is determined by 4 storey. This structure is analyzed according to SNI 03-1726-2002 using SAP 2000 Nonlinear software. The model is made in 2 dimensions form (2D). The structure behavior to seismic force will be evaluated by performance-based evaluation using Pushover Analysis. The analysis result showed that the slenderness of structure form (Hstr/Bstr) affected structure performance level border for IO (Immediate Occupancy) and C (Collapse) borders by the decreasing of its value if the structure is more slender. Column dimension variation (hkol/bkol) also affected structure performance level border for IO (Immediate Occupancy) and C (Collapse) borders by the increasing of its value when (hkol/bkol) = 2,0. The position of Static Equivalent Method toward Pushover Analysis in performance level was affected by the slenderness of structures. The performance level is first in IO (Immediate Occupancy) border and increasing to LS (Life Safety) border for structure that more slender. While column dimension variation didn’t affect the position of Static Equivalent Method toward Pushover Analysis. For base reaction value, as the result of static analysis, was still on the area between first yield (y) and collapse points (m) in performance graph of Pushover Analysis so the structure still can maintain from its collapse.
